A-Q (Gilbert Bani) is a Nigerian rapper, dancer, and performer who was born on August 1, 1986.
The talented rapper, who was raised in Surulere, is the youngest of six children. Because he grew up in this atmosphere, he was able to mix with individuals from all walks of life, from the middle class to the wealthy.
For his primary and secondary schooling, he attended Fountain nursery and primary school, as well as Kings College. He also completed his tertiary degree at the University of Lagos.
A-Q began her musical career at a young age, listening to other artists and miming their songs. He was also impacted by how his older siblings reacted to various musical styles.
He began his professional career in 2001, when he signed his first record deal with BIG LEAF Records, where he stayed for two years before branching out on his own.
He released his first song, “(W)rap Nigeria,” in 2004, which was produced by Krafmatics and was accompanied by a music video.
