Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran’s (Jandor) biography

Jandor is the nickname given to Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, a Nigerian politician, journalist, entrepreneur, and technocrat. He is also known as Jandor.

Alongside his running companion, Funke Akindele, he is the candidate for governor of Lagos State on the ticket of the People’s Democratic Party. He serves as chairman of the Lagos4Lagos movement. South American University in Lagos, Nigeria, awarded him an Honorary Doctorate in Leadership and Governance in 2021. This distinction was presented to him.

Childhood and early years of schooling

On November 25th, 1977, in the Mushin Area of Lagos State, a son named Jandor Adeniran joined the household of his parents, Alhaji Adeniran and the late Mrs. Ruth Oluwafunmilayo Adeniran. The Polytechnic Ibadan, Modul University in Vienna, the Howard University School of Business in Washington, the District of Columbia, the United States of America, and Oxford University in Oxford, United Kingdom are all places where Jandor received his education.

Career

Journalism was where Jandor began his professional life, and he worked in the field for more than twenty years. In the end, he decided to enter politics and became a member of the APC. During his time with the APC, he served as the movement’s coordinator for the Lagos4Lagos initiative. In the end, he decided to switch parties and is now running as the PDP’s candidate for governor of Lagos in the 2023 election.

His private life

Fareedah Oluwamayokun Amoke and Fadhilulah Oluwamurewa Adedayo Akanniade Olajide-Adediran are the couple’s two children. He is married to Maryam Olajide Adediran, and the couple has two children together.
