Born Nigerian artist Akitoye Balogun. Ajebutter grew up as an only child in Surulere, Lagos, with four sisters.


He completed his high school education at the International School of Lagos before moving to England to study Petroleum Engineering at Leeds University, followed by a Masters degree in Engineering Project Management at Manchester University.

He began his musical career in 2009 with his sister, Taymi B, under the name Soyinka’s Afro.

When he released the techno-beat club hit ‘Senrenre,’ he shot to fame.


Ajebutter is well-known for his collaborations with top producer Studio Magic. On Saturday, February 22nd, 2014, Ajebutter 22 and Studio Magic launched their first collaborative album, “Anytime Soon,” and made history.
