Cassper Nyovest was born Refiloe Maele Phoolo on December 16, 1990, but he is better known by his stage name, Cassper Nyovest. He is a South African rapper, composer, entrepreneur, record producer, and part-time boxer.

One of the most successful performers in South Africa, he grew up in the city of Mahikeng in the province of North West. He [2]launched his own record label, Family Tree Records, in 2014. With the success of his first studio album, Tsholofelo (2014), which featured the hits “Gusheshe” and “Doc Shebeleza,” Nyovest shot to popularity.

The Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg, South Africa, was completely sold out for his show, Fill Up The Dome (2015).

Nyovest, using the moniker “Fill Up,” has since organized similar events at Orlando Stadium (2016) and FNB Stadium (2017), both in Johannesburg, Moses Mabhida Stadium (2018) in Durban, and Royal Bafokeng Stadium (2019) in North West.

At his Fill Up The Dome event on October 31, 2015, Nyovest debuted his debut studio album, titled simply Refiloe. The Game, DJ Drama, Stonebwoy, and Casey Veggies are just a few of the artists who contributed to this album as collaborators. He then released the critically acclaimed Thuto (2018), his third studio album, and the Kwaito-focused Sweet and Short (2019), his fourth studio album (2019).
