Buba Barnabas Luka, better known by his stage name ClassiQ, is a Nigerian rapper, songwriter, and producer who was born in the Nigerian state of Bauchi. On September 21, 1991, he was born.

Classiq is the youngest of three children born to a professor father (Dr. of Geography) and a nursing mother.

In 1992, he began his schooling at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Staff Primary School in Bauchi State, and in 2009, he graduated with a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the famed Bayero University Kano.

He began singing at the age of sixteen. Hiphop fans from all around the country have taken notice of his distinctive style of rap.

He’s recognized for his humorous delivery and prolific punch lines, not to mention his insane production abilities.

M.I, Eldee, Wande Coal, Shank, Davido, Duncan Mighty, and others have all performed with ClassiQ.

His major musical influences are Asa, Naeto C, Don Jazzy, Fela, Kahli Abdu, J.Cole, Kanye West, Talib Kweli, Common, Wyclef, Dido, and HHP.

He raps fluently in hausa, impeccably in English, and brilliantly in pidjin, all of which he incorporates into his lyrics.

His mixtape’sarki’ is seriously dope, featuring tunes like ‘duniya’ ft Ruby, ‘duniya remix’ ft Jesse Jagz, ‘kakaraka’,’sarki’,’magana,’ and ‘danburo uba shege,’ among others. “Tinini Tanana Sunana,” “An fara,” “KaWai,” “Can’t Touch This,” and “Ina Son Ki” are some of his other big singles.

Vector included him with Phyno, Reminisce, and Uzi for the remix of King Kong, and many consider his verse to be the best.
