Dice Ailes is a Nigerian musician who rose to prominence in 2016 after signing with Chocolate City in 2014. His reputation has grown steadily since then, with songs such as Machinery, Ella, Miracle, and others.

Dice Ailes is a current Afro-pop performer of Nigerian and Ghanaian descent. He was born and raised in Lagos’ Victoria Island. His parents named him Shaha Damilola Alesh, and he began composing poetry at the age of 8 or 9, encouraged by his uncles who were songwriters at the time.

His mother was also a member of the church choir, and young Dice Ailes wanted to be a part of what they were doing. Dice Ailes began his musical career in the church choir, where he beat boxed to music produced and practiced for church services.

Dice Ailes eventually pursued his passion for music when he was 15 years old. He had to save money for a while in order to pay for the track “I Can’t Wait ft Rado (his uncle),” which became his first single.

At the age of 16, the young artist had aired his song on Rhythm 93.7, and because of the track’s distinctiveness, he was invited to appear on DJ Jimmy Jatt’s “Jimmy’s Jump Off.”

Following his brief experience in Nigerian music, Dice Ailes and his family relocated to Canada, where he pursued his education. His parents encouraged him to pursue his passion of being a musician, but they insisted that he first obtain a high school diploma before pursuing music full-time.
