City People’s Koyinsola Mabifa conducted an interview…

When did you first start DJing?
My road to deejaying has been fantastic because it began when I was in high school, specifically JSS 3.

When I first started deejaying, it was difficult because many people didn’t give me the chance or even encourage me; some of my friends told me I wasn’t stylish enough or had the swag to be a Dj, but that only encouraged me more because I felt I had a point to prove; and so far, it’s been an interesting journey; God has been faithful, and he’s taken me to places I never imagined I’d go.

What inspired you to pursue a career as a deejay in the first place?
What I was thinking about was my passion and the fact that I had something to prove to those who didn’t believe in me.

So I poured all of my effort and expertise into it, and I respected DJ Jimmy Jatt and Dj Humility, and I knew I could accomplish it too.

Have your parents been supportive of you?
Yes, my mother was supportive when I first started since she is my strong backbone.

So, when I first started, she had my back and fully supported me, so I gradually began purchasing my equipment with my meager funds.

My first purchase was a little speaker (laughs), and I always thank my mother and older brother Olamide for their unwavering support. Check out Dj Enimoney’s Songs, Videos and Albums below!
