Kcee (Kingsley Chinweike Okonkwo, born April 18, 1979) is a Nigerian singer and composer. He used to be a member of the hip hop combo Kc Presh. Five Star Music has signed him to a record deal.

He collaborated with Del B, a record producer best known for “Limpopo.”

He was born in the Lagos suburb of Ajegunle to a DJ father. Kcee proceeded to Isolo Central High School and then to the University of Nsukka, where he earned a degree in Theatre Arts.

The star singer revealed a few things regarding poverty and hustling in an interview: “There is a flurry of activity in Ajegunle.

You must stand up for yourself. You must fend for yourself in the ghetto. My parents attempted to educate me in school, but it was obvious that this was insufficient.

I watched other young folks hustling and felt compelled to follow suit. You either hustle or die in the ghetto, and since I didn’t want to beg, I had to work for myself, which is now paying off.”

Kcee didn’t want to be a musician when he was younger; instead, he wanted to be a professional footballer, and he played for Julius Berger and Puma football clubs in his hometown.

Music has been a part of his life since he was in secondary school. He began by playing football, but subsequently began singing in the church choir. Furthermore, his father worked as a disc jockey and was already a music connoisseur.

When he won Star Quest in 2002, his musical career took off in a big way.

Kcee rose to prominence after winning the Star Quest talent program in 2002, which he shared with Precious John.

He was paid N20,000 for his debut musical performance. Check out Kcee’s Songs, Videos and Albums below!
