Ikoro Samuel Chijioke, better known by his stage name King Kafi, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter, performer, and dancer who was born on February 22, 1996, in Onitsha, Anambra State, and raised in Onitsha. He is originally from the Nigerian state of Abia, which is located in the Abia State south-eastern region.


He was previously known by the stage name Lasch Kay, but in early 2020, he made the daring decision to alter his professional stage name to – King Kafi. Currently, he hasn’t really released a single under his new performance identity.

He is signed to Virgin Beat Entertainment, which is owned and operated by King Kafi and has been growing in popularity since its inception. Some of the musicians and producers with whom he has collaborated include: Don Zee (TBoyla’s father), M’Prof (Randaz Black), Senior Maintain (Brainy Boy), Lymo (Imo Fresh), Mobaz (Dozzy Breezy), and Paragon (TBoyla’s father).

In honor of his Arabic friend, who affectionately refers to him as “Kafi,” Ikoro Samuel Chijioke has adopted the moniker “King Kafi.”
He decided to inquire of his buddy about the meaning of the name, and his friend responded as follows: “Kafi is an Arabic name for boys that means “sufficient,” denoting a person who is able to completely meet the needs of another person while making them unnecessary to other people. Since then, he has made the decision to use the moniker as his professional performing monicker for performances.
