He is Emmanuel Kwesi Danso Arthur Junior (born December 18th, 1994), better known by his stage name Kwesi Arthur.


Sarkodie and Medikal, two of Ghana’s most prominent rap artists, were among many who lauded his 2017 hit “Grind day” and gave him a co-sign.

More than 2 million people listened to Live from Nkrumah Krom Vol II in its first week after its release in 2019.

There are numerous awards Arthur has received, including the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Rapper of the Year and Hip Hop Song of the Year as well as a BET Viewer’s Choice Best International Act nomination.


In 2019, Sarkodie became the first Ghanaian rapper to be nominated for the BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher.
