BNXN, formerly known as Buju, is one of the biggest names in the Nigerian music industry at the moment. He is a singer and songwriter. His real name is Daniel Etiese Benson.

According to the available information, he was born on May 14, 1997, in Lagos, Nigeria. Although he is a native of Akwa Ibom State, he grew up in Gbagada, Lagos.

BNXN (Buju) began his music career in secondary school, where he started to rap under the moniker “Drizzle” and then joined the school choir, which helped him develop his vocals. 

He proceeded to Babcock University, BNXN, after secondary school, focusing on his education before returning to music as a professional music artist in 2017.

According to BNXN (Buju), he got inspiration from  Jamaican artist Buju Banton, so he adopted the stage name “BNXN.” 

BNXN came into the limelight in the Nigerian music industry in 2019 when he dropped his single “Spiritual,” featuring Zlatan. He went ahead to secure a collaboration with Burna Boy on the remix of “L’enu”.

In 2020, BNXN (Buju) signed with Burna Boy’s Spaceship Records but chose not to renew the contract in 2021, so he started to pursue his career independently.
