The Life Story of Nicki Aycox

The late American actress and singer Nicki Lynn Aycox was known for her roles in both film and music. She entered the world on May 26, 1975, and left this world on November 16, 2022. Her most notable roles are those in Supernatural, Jeepers Creepers 2, Perfect Stranger, and The X-Files: I Want to Believe. Her first LP, Red Velvet Room, was out in 2015.

Professional life and personal life

Aycox’s birthplace was the little Oklahoma town of Hennessey. Her younger brother Steve is also Native American, like her. Aycox played the piano and sang at talent events as a kid. Her early acting gigs were on series like “3rd Rock from the Sun,” “USA High,” “Boy Meets World,” “The X-Files,” and “Providence,” where she had a recurring part.

Aycox played psychic cheerleader Minxie Hayes in the 2003 film Jeepers Creepers 2. The 2001 horror film Jeepers Creepers had a sequel in 2001. Between July 2005 to October 2005, Aycox portrayed Private Brenda “Mrs. B” Mitchell in the NBC series Over There. The series followed a unit of the 3rd Infantry Division of the United States Army on its first tour of duty in occupied Iraq. They showed how the conflict affected the soldiers’ families back home.

In the episode titled “The Perfect Storm” from 2006, Aycox guest starred as the sociopath and serial murderer Amber Canardo. She also had a recurring role as the antagonist Meg Masters in the first season of Supernatural, which aired on the WB and is currently shown on the CW in 2005. Aycox was cast in the part of Meg after being hand-picked by the show’s executive producer, Kim Manners. Manners and Aycox had worked together before on an episode of Over There that he directed.

In my opinion, you can’t help but give a female character some sex appeal if she’s going to be a major player in the story. Some of it was added by me, but it was all there in the original script. Aycox discusses how he came up with the character Meg for the Supernatural series.

Aycox played a woman trying to blackmail a wealthy advertising executive in the 2007 suspense film Perfect Stranger. Halle Berry, Bruce Willis, and others appeared in the movie. The following year, Aycox appeared in the film adaptation of the second season of The X-Files, titled I Want to Believe. Production of the film began in December 2007 and wrapped on March 11, 2008. Joy Ride 2: Dead Ahead, the 2008 sequel to the 2001 film Joy Ride, featured Aycox in a leading role.

Since July 2009, Aycox has portrayed Jaimie Allen, an undercover LAPD police officer, on the TNT action/drama series Dark Blue.

The final broadcast was on September 15, 2010.

In 2015, Aycox released Red Velvet Room, her first EP. Five of Aycox’s songs were included in this EP.

Human existence and demise

Aycox received a leukemia diagnosis in 2020. The illness took her life on November 16, 2022, when she was 47.
