Nonso Amadi is a Nigerian-born Afro-R&B and Soul musician and producer based in Canada. He began his music career in 2012 while studying BSc. Chemical Engineering at Covenant University.
He stopped studying in Nigeria in 2014 and moved to Swansea University in the United Kingdom to finish his degree. He currently holds a master’s degree from McMaster’s University in Canada.
Nonso Amadi grew up in Lagos, Nigeria, during a period when soft R&B music ruled, with artists such as Paul Play, Plantashun Bioz, Soul E, and Banky W among the most popular.
He launched his first body of work, “Alone EP,” in September 2015, and a few months later, he released a follow-up song, “Tonight,” which has been his most successful work to date.
Nonso Amadi self-taught himself to create and write his songs, and he makes it plain that he gets his lyrical inspiration from heartbreak and sensuous pleasures.
He currently has no strong public ties to any other artists, and his persona exudes a magical aura.
Jon Bellion is a big musical inspiration for Nonso Amadi. Drake, Shakka, Justin Bieber, and Bryson Tiller are among his musical influences.
For his afro-influence, he looks up to Nigerian artists such as Wizkid, Wande Coal, Maleek Berry, and Fela. Check out Nonso Amadi’s Songs, Videos and Albums below!
