Our Colour, Our Crime?

Once upon a time, they were two girls, one had black skin, and one had white. Little colored girl say to a little white girl, ‘ How come your skin be so pale? White girl say. ‘ i don’t know, ‘How come your skin be so black? What do you think that means? “But neither one of the little girls knew. So little white girl say, well let’s see, you got hair, I got here. ‘Little colored girl say, ‘ I got a nose, you got a nose. ‘Little white girl say, ‘I got toes, you got toes. ‘So we are the same. Just a different color, say the colored girl. The little white girl agreed.

Being black is not chosen by anyone, the same goes for white. Black is a color that indicates human physical differences. Therefore, it is very uncalled for a human to treat a fellow human as less human because of their color. I agreed with Mohammed Ali, ‘To hate people because of their color is wrong’.

Racism has segregated different races from one another, it held blacks to low-status jobs, restricted civil rights, physical violence, daily insults, and verbal expression of contempt and murder because of physical differences – dark skin color.

Did black commit any crime by being black? How can color become a race? Blacks are human too and they deserve total equality as does the Universal Declaration of Human Rights set forth by the United National in 1948. It is very unjustifiable for a fellow human to treat illegally to fellow humans simply because he is black. One is punished for his crimes and wrongdoings not by being himself. Blacks are not going against the law or ever treat white inhumanly because they are white. This injustice has taken so many innocent black lives. Has caused discrimination, people being treated unfairly and with suspicion, questioning their intelligence thinking that blacks are not smart people. This has to lead to the inability for them to succeed in some parts and has also created negative impacts in their lives. Blacks and white are the same human-guided by the same Fundamental Human rights. Blacks deserve the same judgment and treatment from a fellow human. No white has the right to treat back unequally because it is no law that being black is a crime.

Let’s eradicate this racial belief. Lets individually accept each other and stop seeing another differently. Blacks and white are the same humans in as much that they have different colors. The dark color is inherited traits and not and crime committed. Let’s fight this and live peacefully.
