Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, also known as (Patoranking), is a Nigerian reggae-dancehall singer and songwriter. He was born on May 27, 1990, in Ijegun, Lagos, to Mr. and Mrs. Okorie.

He attended citizen comprehensive college in Epe for his secondary schooling before enrolling at Jibri Martin Memorial Grammar School in Iponri.

Patoranking began his musical career as a street jam and carnival dancer, working with artists such as Konga, Slam, Xproject, and Reggie Rockstone in underground collaborations.

Patoranking stated in an interview that Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, Lucky Dubey, Buju Banton, Tuface, and Blackface were his main musical influences.

He claims that Jamaican singer Patoranking gave him the moniker Patoranking.

In 2010, he secured a record deal with K-solo Igberage Records, and his single “Up in the Club” was released.

Patoranking signed with Dem Mama Records and released “Alubarika,” a song featuring Timaya, though Timaya claims Patoranking was never officially contracted to the label.

Patoranking was able to gain recognition as a result of the song. He also stated that the song offers a synopsis of his life.

Patoranking rose to prominence following the release of “Girlie O,” which was produced by WizzyPro and released under the Foston Music record label.

In May 2014, he released “Girlie O Remix,” which featured vocalist Tiwa Savage and landed at No. 9 on MTV Base’s official Naija Top 10 chat.

His music has been described as a morally oriented rendition of dance hall music.

Two of his singles, “Daniella Whine” and “My Woman, My Everything,” were number leaders on the MTV base official Naija Top 10 chart, making 2015 a tremendously successful year for the superstar.

The superstar agreed to a $17.5 million endorsement agreement. Check out Patoranking’s Songs, Vidoes and Albums below!
