He has four brothers and four sisters and was born to Late Mr Akwarandu Emelogu and Ugoeze Rebecca Nne Emelogu.
His musical career began in 1998 while he was still in high school, but he did not pursue it further since he planned to get a law degree.
He deferred his admittance to pursue a music career in his senior year of high school. In 2004, he began making his first album, Nwa Aba, which featured the blockbuster hit single “Nwa Aba.” This album made him a household name, particularly in Nigeria’s eastern region.
“Nwa Aba Reloaded,” his second album, featured popular hits like “Take Me There” and “Nwa Aba Remix.” His musical style is known as Conscious Afro Hip Hop, and he occasionally dabbles in other genres such as R&B/Makosa.
He’s presently working on his third album, “Diamond in the Ruff,” which features songs like “Sweet Music” and “Onye Eze,” as well as guest appearances from 2shotz and Peke. He has a video called “Sweet Music,” which was shot by DJ Tee and is now receiving a lot of airtime. J-smith was in charge of the production. Check out Ruffcoin’s Songs, Videos and Albums below!
