SM Muneer Biography

Among the most successful businessmen and manufacturers in Pakistan was a man by the name of M. Muneer. For the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry, he was the patron-in-chief until his death on November 28, 2022. (KATI). He also worked in the leather sector and was a director at a number of financial institutions and private businesses. In addition, as chairman of Chiniot Anjuman Islamia, he managed the operations of a wide range of facilities in the cities of Karachi, Faisalabad, and Chiniot, including hospitals, maternity homes, schools, and others.

He was on the governing boards of Greenwich University and the Institute of Business Management in Karachi. And he also belonged to the Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. On separate occasions, he served as a director for both the Kidney Centre Post Graduate Training Institute and the Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital in Lahore.

Throughout his career, Muneer has won a number of prestigious honors.

  • Gold Medallion Award by the International Export Association, UK
  • Best Businessman of the Year Award by FPCCI.
  • Sitara-i-Eisaar (2006)
  • Sitara-i-Imtiaz (2007)
  • Awarded an Honorary Ph.D. degree by the Governor of Sindh (2009)
  • Life Time Achievement Award by President of Pakistan (2012)
  • Life Time Achievement Award by then-Mayor of Markham Frank Scarpitti (2012)

Cause Of Death

He died on 28 November 2022.
