Deborah Oluwaseyi Joshua (born Oluwaseyi Odedere on December 21, 1985) is a Nigerian singer and songwriter who goes by the stage name Seyi Shay (pronounced Shay-yee Shay).

She created and produced three songs for the Konami video game Crime Life: Gang Wars’ soundtrack (2005).

Melanie C’s third studio album, Beautiful Intentions, featured a song she penned called “You Will See” (2005). “White Lies,” a song from Chip’s Transition album, was written by Shay.

She joined the now-defunct pop girl group From Above as the lead singer in 2008.

The trio was managed by Mathew Knowles’ Music World Entertainment organization and got a recording deal with Sony’s Columbia Records.

She secured an endorsement arrangement with Etisalat, a telecoms service provider, in November 2013. Shay signed a record deal with Island Records in July 2015.
