Slowdog is the stage name of Nnenna Okechukwu Emmanuel (born November 27, 1978), a Nigerian rapper and songwriter.

His Igbo rap is known for its comedic nature. In 2006, he had a success with “Who Get That Tin,” which made him fairly popular in Nigeria’s south east.

He’s collaborated with Phyno, Flavour N’abania, Mr Raw Nwanne, and Mode 9 among others.

He was born in the Anambra State town of Awkuzu.

Before arriving in Enugu in 1981, he spent part of his life in Jos with his family.

In 2003, he received his bachelor’s degree in management and technology from the Enugu Institute of Management and Technology.

In 2002, he formed the Dodge and Slowdog (DSD) club. In 2006, he went pro with the release of his solo single “Who Get That Tin,” which featured Dekumzy.

Slowdog is known to perform largely in the South East at the end of the year and throughout the festive seasons (Nigeria).

Slowdog, Patoranking, and Ruffcoin headlined the Mbba-Ike Mega Concert in Imo State in December 2014. An annual function hosted by the state’s then-deputy governor.

He was the main attraction of the Ogbunike Cave Carnival in Anambra State in 2015.
