Ugoccie

Favour Ugochi Anosike, better known by his stage name Ugoccie, entered the world on March 16, 1997. Her music is quickly making waves in Nigeria.

Her music and distinctive aesthetic are proof of this. Incorporating the Igbo language into her music, she has a unique sound that is unmatched.

She is a talented musician from Nigeria who sings, raps, and writes songs. “Do You Really Like Me,” her hit on the Nigerian version of the music video platform TikTok, served as the catalyst for her career in the industry. This cover of Nigerian-American artist Rotimi’s hit “In My Bed” also features a remix with Kolaboy.

In the company of Mr. and Mrs. Anosike, Ugoccie entered the world on March 16th, 1997. She was born and raised in Aba, Abia State, Nigeria.

Ugoccie’s education began at Wise Brain Academy, and she then transferred to Ninlan Demonstration Secondary School for her elementary, middle, and high school years.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the illustrious Alex Ekwueme University in Ebonyi State.
Also, during her internship, she was a radio host at a major Nigerian broadcasting company in Kebbi State.

Ugoccie’s career continued unabated even as she worked for a well-known radio station, with the singer-songwriter producing both covers of established hits and original material. Having attracted a large number of fans, she naturally sought to reap substantial financial rewards from her newfound popularity.

She took her talent for songs and redirected it into the genre of poetry. She went in a new musical direction, switching from rapping to singing. By drawing inspiration from the already-popular Afrobeat genre, she was able to establish her own distinct sound.
