BlackSunday: Christians shot dead as unknown assassins attacked St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State during church service. 

Unknown Assassins opened fire on a Catholic church congregation on Sunday, June 5, and many were left dead and others fatally wounded at a church in Owo, Ondo State.

Over 40 Christians have been reportedly killed in the attack which took place at St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, in Owo town, Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

Although details of the unfortunate incident are still sketchy, it was gathered that the mass shooting occurred during a service at st. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Owo.

The clips making the rounds on social media show the gory state of corpses around the church building in the aftermath of the shooting.
