Born in India on November 5, 1988, Virat Kohli is a cricketer who has represented his country on the international stage and served as the Indian national team captain.

As a right-handed batsman, he plays for Delhi’s team in the domestic cricket competition and Royal Challengers Bangalore’s team in the Indian Premier League.

Kohli made his Test debut in 2011. In 2013, he became the first batsman to attain the top spot in the ICC rankings for one-day internationals (ODIs). At the ICC World Twenty20, he earned the Man of the Tournament award not once but twice (in 2014 and 2016). He was born in New Delhi on November 5, 1988, into a Punjabi Hindu household. Virat Kohli is a famous Indian cricketer. His mother, Saroj Kohli, is a homemaker, and his father, Prem Kohli, is a lawyer specializing in criminal law. He has an older brother by the name of Vikash and an older sister by the name of Bhavna.

Kohli began his education at Vishal Bharti Public School after spending his childhood in the neighborhood of Uttam Nagar. In 1998, the West Delhi Cricket Academy was established, and Virat Kohli, then just nine years old, was one of the academy’s first students. At the same time that Kohli was competing at the Sumeet Dogra Academy in Vasundhara Enclave and receiving instruction from Rajkumar Sharma at the academy, he also competed in matches at the academy. He moved to Saviour Convent in Paschim Vihar when he was in the ninth grade so that he could get more aid with his cricket practice. Until 2015, his family called Meera Bagh home before moving to their new home in Gurgaon. After being bedridden for a month due to a stroke, Kohli’s father passed away on December 18, 2006.
