“We will miss him” – Chelsea FC fans weep as Rudiger departs the Club for Real Madrid

Chelsea Football Club fans have unleashed their heartfelt farewell messages to Chelsea’s outgoing defender cum Germany star, Antonio Rudiger who is set to leave the club.

Germany defender Antonio Rüdiger will leave Chelsea at the end of the season after turning down the offer of a new contract, manager Thomas Tuchel confirmed on Sunday.

Following the Chelsea 1-0 Westham post-match interview with Tuchel he sat:

“The situation is that he wants to leave the club,”

He informed me of this in a private talk.

“It is disappointing. We will miss him a lot.”

The 29-year-old Rüdiger was reportedly offered record terms for a defender from Chelsea.

Tuchel said competing for his signature was made harder by UK government sanctions imposed on the club owned by Russian Roman Abramovich as a result of the invasion of Ukraine.

This news has been also confirmed by a popular sports analyst cum writer known as Fabrizio Romano via his verified Twitter handle.

According to Romano, Rudiger will play for Real Madrid on a four-year deal, starting from henceforth to June 2026.

In his words, he wrote:

“The agreement between Toni Rüdiger and Real Madrid has been reached on a four year deal, valid until June 2026. ⚪️🤝 #RealMadrid

It’s matter of final details before signing the contracts. No official announcement before the end of the season, even if Toni will sign in May.”
