Onome Onokohwomo, better known by his stage name Yung6ix, is a Nigerian rapper and hip hop recording artist who was born on July 8, 1989.
Onome Onokohwomo, best known by his stage name Yung6ix, was born and raised in Warri, Delta State, which has produced a slew of Nigerian celebrities such Oritse Femi, Bovi, Eriga, and others.
Onokohwomo grew up in Warri, the oldest of five children, and developed a keen interest in music at a young age.
He was always involved in various rap fights while studying at FGC Warri, and he was able to create a warmer relationship with students who shared his interests, which led to the formation of the hip hop club G-Squad.
G-Squad, a hip hop group, began to perform at numerous talent shows in Delta State and beyond, and they became well-known.
He has claimed that the first song he recorded at school was used to pay for the instrumentals with his WAEC lesson cost, and that he goes from school to studio for up to 2 hours or more each day. Take a look at what he stated below.
