In the scheme of things, we all know who the real G.O.A.T of this Afrobeats sound is. Or rather, who the real G.O.A.Ts are. And by far, David Adeleke, who we now know as Davido has proven himself once again! Nah, “cappers,” look at the Timeless Album by Davido and tell me why G.O.A.T shouldn’t be recognized as his second name in this music game.

From taking a six-month break from social media and by extension, the media to grieve the loss of his 3-year-old son Ifeanyi Adeleke, David Adeleke came back—stronger—hitting up our sound systems and the entire polity with a 17-track album.

For real, when he first announced that he would be returning to the game in March 2023, it became more apparent that 2023 was going to be a great year in the history of Afrobeats. Fast forward to Match 31, 2023, Davido “let the sounds out of the studio!” and boy, did he “deliver his unit?!”
