South African multi-instrumentalist Sims Noreng brings Mavee DripGod and Mabena102 into “Chomi Yami,” track four on his seven-song EP “Norengville.”
Mabena102 shows up more than once across this project, actually. He already appeared on “Hololo” earlier in the tracklist, so bringing him back here alongside Mavee DripGod shows Sims Noreng trusts that particular chemistry enough to revisit it. This one leans into Amapiano’s summer-ready lane, built for parties and long weekends rather than deep reflection.
The chorus is what really carries “Sims Noreng Chomi Yami.” It’s the kind of hook that sticks after one listen, which matters a lot for a track this dance-floor focused. Smooth vocals and infectious rhythms sit on top of a solid instrumental foundation, giving both featured artists room to add their own flair without crowding the beat. Sims Noreng has built a reputation for exactly this kind of dependable, well-produced Amapiano output, and “Norengville” as a whole seems built around that consistency.
Coming right after “Hololo” and before “Stop or Go,” this track keeps the EP’s energy locked into feel-good territory throughout its middle stretch.
