South African artist Msaro delivers “Sbongile (Album),” a twelve-song project bringing together a wide roster of collaborators including DJ Toxic Soul, Pali Stage, Mshakatela and Vicky Lay.

Running just over an hour and a half, the album doesn’t lean on one or two guest voices to carry it. So “Msaro Sbongile” spreads that collaborative work across a genuinely wide roster, with names like Bhinci 07, Simlet Vocalist and Skhundebz all contributing their own texture to different corners of the tracklist. That kind of approach takes real coordination, honestly, pulling together this many distinct voices without the whole thing feeling scattered.

Msaro’s own vocal presence anchors things throughout, giving the project a consistent center even as the featured artists shift from track to track. Thee Exclusives and Absolutesoulx round out the collaborator list further, adding even more variety to an already dense project.

For a twelve-track album, that kind of guest density says something about where Msaro sits within South Africa’s current music scene right now, clearly someone other artists want to work with. “Sbongile” ends up reading less like a solo statement and more like a genuine community effort built around Msaro’s own creative vision.
