Bhuti wekhasethe brings both Shenge wasehlalankosi and Siyanda Tshabalala onto “Ngikhulule,” one of the more collaborative moments on his eight-track project “Gezani Niyangiziba?”
Pulling in two featured voices on a single record isn’t something Bhuti wekhasethe does casually across this album. But “Ngikhulule” earns that extra layer, with each artist bringing a distinct texture rather than crowding the arrangement. Also, Siyanda Tshabalala returns here after already appearing on “Ungangijikeli” elsewhere in the tracklist, which shows a working relationship built across more than one session.
Shenge wasehlalankosi adds a rougher, grounded edge alongside Siyanda’s smoother delivery, and that contrast gives “Ngikhulule” real dimension. Bhuti wekhasethe still leads the record though, keeping his storytelling instincts front and center even with two collaborators sharing the space.
The title suggests release or letting go, a theme that sits comfortably within the emotional range “Gezani Niyangiziba?” has explored since its opener. Maskandi has always rewarded records like this one, where rhythm carries as much weight as the lyrics themselves.
Sitting deep enough in the project to show real structural confidence, “Ngikhulule” avoids feeling like a front-loaded single just for streaming numbers. It plays like a genuine part of the album’s flow.
