Nigerian artist Iceking Ochacho pulls together six tracks into “I’m Back,” a compact EP built around a clear emotional arc from celebration to gratitude.
Opener “Ochacho Money” sets the tone with pure confidence, celebrating financial breakthrough before “Made for More,” featuring Monica Ogah, shifts into resilience and purpose. So “Iceking Ochacho I’m Back” doesn’t stay in one mood for long. Track three, “I Can,” pushes pure self-belief with its repetitive, affirmation-driven hook, while “On My Way” continues that forward-looking journey theme with production from Luke Ogabor instead of Chief Double G, who handled most of the other tracks.
The back half turns more personal. “Oh Papa” dedicates itself entirely to Iceking Ochacho’s father, trading ambition for warmth and family gratitude. Closer “Oil on My Head” wraps things up with spiritual reflection, tying faith and blessing into the project’s final statement. That sequencing, celebration, resilience, self-belief, journey, family, faith, shows real intentionality across just six songs rather than randomly stacked singles.
Running at roughly 15 minutes total, “I’m Back” moves quickly but covers real emotional ground. For an artist still building his catalogue, that kind of structured range across a short project says something about where his songwriting is headed.
