Bazo Jini already released a solo version of “Unadunda Moyo” back in July. Two months later, Malume steps into that same song, turning what started as a solo single into a full duet.
Tanzanian artist Ibra Malume, known simply as Malume, joins forces with Bazo Jini on “Unadunda Moyo,” a reworked Bongo Flava collaboration released September 16, 2026, through IK Mziki.
That July-to-September gap matters here. Rather than writing something new together from scratch, Malume adds his voice to a song Bazo Jini already put out on his own months earlier. So this version functions less like a brand-new collaboration and more like a second chapter, one artist inviting another into a song that had already found its own life.
The Swahili title translates to “The Heart Beats” or “The Heart Is Pounding,” setting up a love song built around the excitement of deep affection. Musically, the arrangement stays smooth and melodic, pairing acoustic guitar touches with mid-tempo Bongo Flava production that leaves room for both voices without either one crowding the other.
Malume’s catalog already leans heavily romantic, and adding Bazo Jini’s earlier record into that mix gives him a fresh pairing without starting a song from zero. Whether fans who already knew the original will prefer this fuller version remains to be seen, but the decision to revisit rather than reinvent says something about how these collaborations sometimes come together in Tanzania’s fast-moving Bongo Flava scene.
