Nigerian street-pop star Seyi Vibez reconnects with longtime producer Larrylanes on “ALUBARIKA,” track eleven from his newly released album “SWAGUU.”

That production partnership carries real history. Larrylanes has shown up repeatedly across Seyi Vibez’s catalogue over the years, and this record continues that familiar creative bond rather than testing something new. Seyi Vibez works through his usual loose, melodic phrasing here, letting his personality stay front and center as the album heads toward its final stretch.

Coming right after “EL JAJA” on the tracklist, “ALUBARIKA” keeps things moving without breaking stride. Two more tracks, “AKPAN AKPARI” and “OBLE,” still sit between this one and the closing title track, which brings in Quavo for the finale. So the album isn’t winding down just yet, honestly, it’s building toward something bigger.

That connection to Larrylanes also grounds “ALUBARIKA” in the sound that first brought Seyi Vibez’s early audience along, even as this whole project marks a different, more established stage of his career. Burna Boy executive produced “SWAGUU” through NSNV Inc and EMPIRE, and tracks like this show the album returning to its strongest street-pop instincts right when it matters most.
